Facebook is inundated with false doctrine in wishing the dead a “Happy Heavenly Birthday”

Before I go on,

Everyone deals with and/or processes death differently.  People grieve at various stages, and not everyone follows the same stages of grief in the same order.  In other words, people process death of someone you love differently.  Oftimes death has an adverse affect on others.  Some can never let go of the pain.  I called it “the hole in one’s heart that never heals”.  As a result, some can’t and never let go.  Some become clinically depressed, still, others battle lifelong depression.  Others cannot pick up  life again, because the pain is just too deep.  I realize that the loss of anyone to death is a touchy subject.  I  also know that everybody wants their relatives, friends, people they love, etc., to be in heaven.   However . . .

Are we going against Biblical scriptures to make ourselves feel good?

I notice an increasing trend on Facebook to now wish those that have died, a “Happy Heavenly Birthday”.  Ask yourself through your grief, “am I  going against biblical scriptures to make myself feel good”?

Are you spreading False Doctrine unknowingly?

You see, according to scripture, when anyone dies, they are asleep,  and the next time they wake up will be on Judgment day.

So again, are we spreading  false doctrine with trending “Happy Heavenly Birthday” on Facebook  that put  everyone in heaven?

I know everyone means well, however the dead do not transition to heaven after death.    Maybe RIP is appropriate, because they are asleep.  However, this must be done decently and in order, and on your page only.  Not amongst strangers who never knew your loved one.  The condolences you get from strangers is truly an automated response.   Ask yourself, how is this memorializing your loved one, among people who never knew them?

That being said,

Our loved ones don’t die and just  pass through  Judgment and go  straight to heaven.  Remember only Jesus rose from the dead.  No loved ones, relatives, etc.  Just Jesus.

We just cannot continue to adhere to, start or keep spreading false doctrines.  When someone dies we don’t know where they are going, and we can’t place them in heaven?   They are asleep until Judgement Day.

Here is what the bible/scripture says:

King James Bible
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:    Thessalonians 4:16

Job 14:10-12

10 But man dieth, and wasteth away:  yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he?

11 As the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decayeth and drieth up:

12 So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.

Matthew 9:24

He said, “Leave; for the girl has not died, but is asleep.” And they began laughing at Him.

Mark 5:39

And entering in, He said to them, “Why make a commotion and weep? The child has not died, but is asleep.”

Luke 8:52-53

Now they were all weeping and lamenting for her; but He said, “Stop weeping, for she has not died, but is asleep.” And they began laughing at Him, knowing that she had died.

1 Corinthians 15:20

But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.

That being said,

I understand we all want those that we have lost to  go to heaven.  I understand the pain.  I understand the sorrow of a loss.

I know some may be mad at Garyside  for pointing out the truth.   However, the scriptures still stand, and according to doctrine, people who die are asleep, waiting for judgment.

Death is something  we all have to face until it is overcome.   Suffice to say, on judgement day no one will have special privileges or power, and all will be judged.  All the powers that be, every knee will bow.

Matthew 7:22-28:6 New Living Translation (NLT)

22 On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord!

Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.”(1 Thessalonians 4:13-14

In ending,

The dead will rise to be judged on Judgment Day.  The living who ARE left will be judged too.   On Judgment day, people are going to see all the people who raped them, murdered them, enslaved them, passed judgment on them, oppressed them, etc.

There are no “Happy Heavenly birthdays”.  Let’s not continue to spread false doctrine.  We just cannot continue to push our ways and thoughts, on others to make wrong right.

“Hosea 4:6 King James Version (KJV)

6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”
