WELCOME

Listen.  We know our communities are blighted. We also know and have known for some time now that some parts of our administration/departments of Gary are a mess.  To add insult to injury, this chaos did not just start. We know this mess has existed for a long time now.   Not to mention, our black economy is shitty as hell, and it goes without saying that some of our neighbors are shady as hell.

Too much is going on.  But!, and there will always be a but  . . .

But!  . . .  now take heed

When you are down, the good thing about that is that there is only one way out.  That is UP!  It took our black ancestors determination to bring us this far, and we have to take it from where they left off.   That being said, like our Mayor Jerome Prince says:  “Re-imagine Gary”!

We may be down, but!!!! and remember I said but!  because “but” isn’t permanent…. but!!! we may be down, BUT!!! we are not defeated, and we are coming up.

As a predominately black community, we have to drain our own swamp.  We each have to play a part in pulling up.

Like our Mayor Jerome Prince says:  “Reimagine Gary”

Welcome to Gary. While Gary like so many other cities isn't a prayer book, and we have our good and bad. Suffice to say, outside of the media, the GOOD really does outweigh the bad. Listen the good, law abiding citizens of Gary are on a positive path for change. That being said, go into the places only locals are familiar with. Visit little known hideouts and avenues that open the mind into what being a local is all about. Check out our menu above and view our Business Directory. Don't stop there, go to the Events page, and see what is going on in our City. As with any other place and/or City, always practice safety first.

Welcome to Gary. Visit Miller Beach. Miller Beach is an area in Gary, Indiana on the southernmost shore of Lake Michigan. First settled in 1851, Miller Beach was originally an independent town. However, the "Town of Miller" was eventually annexed by the then flourishing city of Gary in 1918. While Gary like so many other cities isn't a prayer book, and we have our good and bad. Suffice to say, outside of the media, the GOOD really does outweigh the bad; and the good citizens of Gary are on a positive path for change.
