GARY BLOCK CLUB PARTY
Garyians. It just keeps getting better. Garyside attended the Block Club party held on July 31, 2021 in the lot of Gary’s City Hall. For the record, there was a massive turn out. Gary’s own, Mayor Jerome A. Prince awarded trophies to some of the best performances from Gary’s July 4th parade. The trophies were awarded to Westside, and the Martial Arts Club, to name a few. Our council people were there to meet and greet. Our council people also stood on the steps of City Hall to greet us, and they provided well wishes as they mingled with the attendees, along with the Mayor and First Lady. Garyians finest did an excellence job of ensuring the community’s safety while attending the event. Everyone presented themselves with a positive, respectful, and uplifting attitude. It looked as if the heavens opened up for this event, yet again. When viewing the pictures, please take a special note to the astounding beauty of the sky surrounding the event. It was simply breathtaking.
Again, as expected, there was a huge selection of Vendors. All were very informative and professional as usual. All the vendors, including the food vendors presented astounding products. The event offered something for every one of all ages to do, see and enjoy. The Food Vendors were plentiful, and their food was delicious as well.
Garyside would like to thank His Honor, Mayor Jerome A. Prince, and the First Lady, the Council people; as well as the planners and participants of this event. It was well organized, marvelous, and orderly. Garyside could go on and on, however, it has been said that “a picture is worth a thousand words.” That being said, please take a look at the pictures.
In ending, after being faced with isolation from each other from COVID-19, the Block Club party was a welcoming event. Sitting back and looking up at the sky on your own lawn chairs was PRICELESS and breathtaking.
